THE NATIONAL PRAYER EMBASSY AND VICTORY WORLD

OUTREACH CHURCH were begun in the Washington, D.C.

area in 1983.

THE PURPOSE OF THE NATIONAL PRAYER EMBASSY AND

VICTORY WORLD OUTREACH CHURCH is to help believers

in Jesus Christ to obey God's Word in 1st Timothy Chapter

two, verses one through four, by praying first of all for all

nations, leaders and world events, so that we will have peace

to spread the gospel.

1st Timothy 2:1-4: I exhort therefore, that, first of all,

supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks, be

made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority;

that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness

and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of

God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to

come unto the knowledge of the truth.

TO ACCOMPLISH THIS A WEEKLY PRAYER ALERT IS

BEING SENT TO BELIEVERS ACROSS AMERICA AND

AROUND THE WORLD. The first half of its contents consists

of a current prayer need concerning nations, leaders and

world events. The second half consists of a prayer for that

specific need, based on God's Word. (Click above on

IN ADDITION, THE NATIONAL PRAYER EMBASSY ALSO

SPONSORS "PRAYER TOURS" OF VARIOUS MAJOR CITIES,

passing many of the main buildings associated with the

government, economy, military and media, using them as

reminders to pray for all those in authority around the world.

REGULAR WEEKLY PRAYER TOURS OF WASHINGTON, D.C.

WERE STARTED FROM OUR LOCAL CHURCH IN 1983. In

1994 special annual prayer tours of Washington, D.C. were

started in conjunction with KENNETH COPELAND

MINISTRIES' WASHINGTON, D.C. VICTORY CAMPAIGNS, in

which each year the Copeland staff announces our tours from

their platform and allows us to take reservations with a banner

at a table in their lobby.

AGAIN IN CONJUNCTION WITH KENNETH COPELAND

MINISTRIES' WEST COAST BELIEVERS CONVENTIONS,

ANNUAL PRAYER TOURS OF HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA

WERE STARTED IN 1996, to pray for Godly values to

prevail in the Entertainment Industry. As in Washington, D.C.,

each year the Copeland staff announces our Hollywood tours

from their platform and allows us to take reservations with a

banner at a table in their lobby.

A SIMILAR PRAYER TOUR WAS HELD FROM KENNETH

COPELAND'S VICTORY CAMPAIGN IN NEW YORK CITY IN

1997. From 1997 - 2002 Prayer Tours from local churches were

also held in several other American cities, INCLUDING LAS

VEGAS, OKLAHOMA CITY, TULSA AND COLORADO SPRINGS.

Since 1983 the National Prayer Embassy has helped organize Washington, D.C. Prayer Tours for several other major Christian conventions in the D.C. area, including Billye Brim Ministries

(1984), International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (1992), Blaine

Bartel Ministries (1993) and DC/LA '97 Youth for Christ (this last

one also included Hollywood Prayer Tours).

A SIXTY-PAGE "PRAYER HANDBOOK" HAS BEEN PREPARED

FOR USE ON ALL OF THESE PRAYER TOURS. It consists of

several different specific prayers based on God's Word, such

as "PRAYING GOD'S WORD FOR UPCOMING ELECTIONS, "

"PRAYING PSALM 91 FOR AMERICA" and "PRAYING GOD'S

WORD FOR THE MEDIA, " ". . . FOR THE ECONOMY," ". . . FOR

THE MILITARY," ETC. (Click above on "OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES")

Also, The National Prayer Embassy HELPS BELIEVERS IN

CITIES OF ALL SIZES start Prayer Tours as a way to obey 1st

Timothy 2:1-4.
